Headshot Sessions

A great headshot starts before we press the shutter. Here's everything you need to show up feeling prepared — and leave with photos you'll actually want to use.
What to Wear
Keep it simple. Simple always wins.
The camera amplifies everything — which means a well-chosen outfit photographs better than a complicated one. Here's what to consider:
- ✓Plain, solid-coloured shirt or top — neutral tones work in almost every context
- ✓Nicely ironed clothing — creases and wrinkles are more visible on camera than you'd expect
- ✓Classic, fitted styles — wear what you'd wear on a confident day at work
- ✗Bold patterns, heavy graphics, or logos — they pull focus away from you
- ✗Stripes — they can create a distracting visual effect on camera
Your standard session includes one outfit. If you'd like to shoot additional looks, this can be arranged at an additional cost — just let us know when you book.
Hair & Makeup
Entirely your call.
Some people arrive camera-ready, others come as they would to any normal day at the office — both approaches produce great results.
Professional hair and makeup isn't included in your session pricing. If it's something you'd like, we'd encourage you to arrange it before we meet. The main thing: arrive as the version of yourself you'd want representing you professionally. We'll take care of the rest.
On the Day
Relax. We'll take care of the direction.
Feeling a little nervous in front of the camera is completely normal — honestly, most people do. The difference between a stiff headshot and a great one isn't about being naturally photogenic. It's about having someone tell you exactly what to do with your body, your expression, and your eyes until something clicks.
That's our job. We'll direct you through the whole session — where to stand, how to angle yourself, where to look. You won't need to think about any of it. Each person's session runs approximately 15 minutes, which is plenty of time to work through a range of expressions and angles without feeling rushed. If you're booking as a group, we'll move through each person in sequence.
Your Images
What you'll receive.
Your images will be edited, colour corrected, and delivered via a private online gallery link within approximately one week of your session. Standard sessions include between two and five final edited images per person, delivered in both high resolution and web resolution — ready to use for LinkedIn, your website, email signatures, and anything else you need them for.
